Over the past few days, competitors from all across the world have been descending on Prague, Czech Republic, for the 9th International Dragon Boat Federation World Championships. The event takes place between 26th and 30th August at the Račice Regatta Course, just a few kilometres north of the capital, Prague.

Today sees the opening ceremony followed by the punishing 2000m competition for all divisions, with the more familiar race distances scheduled for later this week:

- 2000m Competition
Thursday 27th August
Friday 28th August
Saturday 29th August
Sunday 30th August
- 500m Competition
- Closing Ceremony
